QFMA’s Appeals Committee was established under Article (26) (Bis) of Law No. (33) of 2005 as amended by Decree-Law No. (14) of 2007 and Law No. (10) of 2009, and it was formed under the Council of Ministers Resolution No. (22) of 2009, which determine its functions and procedures to be followed before. Pursuant to Article (37) of Law No. (8) of 2012 concerning Qatar Financial Markets Authority, the current formation of the Committee began its mandate in exercising its jurisdiction determined under Article (38) of the same law on October 28, 2013, upon the issuance of Council of Ministers Resolution No. (31) of 2013 to form the QFMA’s Appeals Committee and determine the procedures to be followed before it, as well as Council of Ministers Resolution No. (32) of 2013 regarding the appointment of the Committee’s c​hairman and members, as amended by Resolution No. (8) of 2016.
